Update on "the dress" from post #1. They only had 1 and it sold!!! I was heartbroken. :-( But it's all good in the hood. I found a plain ole black dress from Old Navy that was WAAAY less expensive and it is nice and comfy. I got the dress, a necklace, and a pair of shoes for $48. Not shabby my friends. So Dane and I are headed down to Orlando this Saturday for the big wedding. I'm not really as excited to go down there as I should be. It'll be fun to see all the friends I haven't seen in so long, but other than the wedding, it's going to be a pretty boring trip. I'll post pics...
Also, I found out that ole Tropical Storm Fay did a number in Tallahassee. My ENTIRE old neighborhood had to be evacuated by boat yesterday morning. Here are a few pics from the local paper of my neighborhood -
This house is on the corner of my old road.

This house is 3 houses down the road from my old house. I recognize it because it is the exact same floorplan as ours was and it was for sale at the same time ours was-

Grey Fox Run was my road-

So us leaving Tallahassee and leaving that house was definitely a blessing in disguise. When we left there last summer, the small "lake" (retention pond) at the front of the neighborhood was nearly dry because of the lack of rain. Now the entire neighborhood is in the lake. Wow.
So this past weekend Beth Anne, Meredith, and I drove down to Charlotte for a little sleepover. As usual, it was a great time! I'll leave you with a pic I took when we got home. Does it get any cuter? I think not! I'm so ready to meet Miss Savannah Harper!

Awww look at little Miss Savannah!
That is crazy about your old neighborhood. It really was a blessing you guys left. The best thing ever is if you had not left to move here you would have never met all of us :)
BTW, I have a blog now too :) Check us out www.piratesandbutterflies.blogspot.com.
It has taken me this long to think of this title and I think it's fitting. Miss ya!

And HOLY CRAP at your old 'hood!
Cute pic of Meredith!!
And your old neighborhood? That's what my home area looked like two summers ago! That kind of flooding is just crazy!
That is so sad about your neighborhood...must be surreal to think how different today would be for you guys if you hadn't left!!!
Glad you found a dress for the wedding - I just went through dress misery for the engagement party we hosted last weekend =(
