When she picked up and he said, "Hey Lynne, this is Dane..." she immediately cheerfully said "Hey Dane...don't give up on me yet!" So that was good. She told him that they made the decision to not hire anyone before the fall rush because it would be way too chaotic. So she said they'll be making the final decision as soon as rush was over which will be be right at about a month from now. The not-so-good news is that the other candidate that they are considering for the position already works for the company. So that actually really sucks because they typically try to hire within the company whenever possible. BUT. BUT! She said that if by chance they decide to go with the other guy for this position, she is almost positive something else pretty equivalent will be opening up right at the same time, and she really made it sound as if she really wanted to hire him whether it was this Textbook Manager position or something else. So we shall wait some more...
In other news...I got my camera! I have only played with it a little bit and have a lot to learn, but here are a few shots straight out of the box...

I've not heard about a Chicago job possibility before this post! Do tell...
Yay for the Gainesville job possibility AND for the awesome new camera! Great pics!
No, no Chicago possibility! The headquarters for the Follett company is in Chicago and that's who he had a phone interview with. It's all for the G-ville job. :-)
And I <3 the camera. It's an XS, and I have 2 Tamaron lenses. Can't wait to get it all figured out. :-)
